Prerequisites for Registration of Courses

Train: TX Tsukuba Express

Get off at JR Tsukuba Station and take a bus bound for Tsukuba Daigaku Chuo at the nearby Tsukuba Center Bus Terminal.
Get off at Dai-Ichi Area Mae or Dai-San Area Mae after an approximately 10-minute ride.

  • At Tsukuba Center Bus Terminal, the following busses are also available.
  • Take a Tsukuba Daigaku Junkan Migimawari (University of Tsukuba Loop-line On-campus, Clockwise) bus and get off at Dai-Ichi Area Mae or Dai-San Area Mae.
  • Take a Tsukuba Daigaku Junkan Hidarimawari (University of Tsukuba Loop-line On-campus, Counterclockwise) bus and get off at Daigaku Koen.

Train: JR Joban Line

Get off at JR Tsuchiura, Arakawaoki, or Hitachino-Ushiku Station and take a bus bound for Tsukuba Daigaku Chuo.
Get off at Dai-Ichi Area Mae or Dai-San Area Mae. The ride should take around 30-40 minutes.

  • JR Tsuchiura Station：35-40 minutes from the west exit by a bus bound for Tsukuba Daigaku Chuo.（ Bus Terminal ｜ Bus Timetable ）
  • JR Arakawaoki Station：30-40 minutes from the west exit by a bus bound for Tsukuba Daigaku Chuo.（ Bus Terminal ｜ Bus Timetable ）
  • JR Hitachinoushiku Station：40-50 minutes from the east exit by a bus bound for Tsukuba Daigaku Chuo.（ Bus Terminal ｜ Bus Timetable ）
Highway Bus

At the Tokyo Station Yaesu South Exit, take a highway express bus bound for Tsukuba Daigaku and get off at Daigaku Kaikan Mae.
Or take a highway express bus bound for Tsukuba Center Bus Terminal (or JR Tsukuba Station) and transfer to an appropriate Kanto Railway Bus at the Terminal.
Airplane

At the airport, take a highway express bus bound for Tsukuba Center Bus Terminal and transfer to an appropriate Kanto Railway Bus at the Terminal.
Car
Turn off the Joban Expressway at the Sakura Tsuchiura Interchange Exit and drive north on the Higashi Odori. After an approximately 15-minute drive, you will be at Tsukuba Daigaku Chuo Iriguchi.
From there, drive north on the Keyaki Dori (the East part of the loop road) and enter the Kaede Dori (the west part of the loop road).
After driving approximately 500 meters, you will be at Dai-Ichi Area (Natural Science-related buildings) or Dai-San Area (Engineering Science-related buildings).
